George Carlin has this joke about how if every child is special then isn't every adult special and what if not then when do they just stop being so special? And it's pretty funny if you listen to him say it, but if you just think about it, it's completely true. I hate to say something so sadistic sounding, but every child is definately not special. Because if they all are, then none of them are. And i hate to say it, but you know it makes sense somewhere in unconcios thoughts. Because i know personally that not everybody gets to be special. or maybe i'm wrong, maybe everybody does get to be special, but if everyones special no one is....except the people the that arent..and that doesn't really make much sense. sorry for that. Anyways, just going through some tough times right now and this is one of the things crossing my mind. They say you can grow up to be whatever you want, but you can't be a bird, or a dog. And if you suck at math you can't be a chemist, if you can't draw you can't be an architect. If you can't write well you can't be a journalist. These are two theories i've found to be false, the special and be what you want to theory. But dont trust me on this, because advice and beliefs are just a complicated form of nostalgia.
